About the Program
The Central Florida Ballet's Summer Intensive Dance Program is an opportunity to learn from some of the most experienced teachers and accomplished professional dancers in the world. Designed to challenge and encourage dance students age 6 and up, pre-professional ballet training in the Vaganova method is provided as well as supplemental classes in other genres of dance. Guest faculty members include current and former professional ballet dancers, choreographers, and master teachers from across the United States. As such, CFB's Summer Intensives have earned a reputation for quickly improving the technique of attending dancers.
The Central Florida Ballet’s Summer Intensive Dance Program is led by:
School Director, Anamarie McGinn, an accomplished ballet dancer with an impressive 19-season career at Orlando Ballet, where she performed under renowned directors including Fernando Bujones, Bruce Marks, and Jorden Morris. Anamarie taught at Orlando Ballet School for over 15 years, sharing her expertise in ballet, pointe, contemporary, and jazz. Read Full Biography
Artistic Director, Mr. Vladimir Bykov, a graduate of the Kiev State Ballet Academy in Ukraine and former principal dancer of the Malyi Theatre of Opera and Ballet in Kiev. Read Full Biography
Founder, Mr. Vasile Petrutiu, a graduate of the Romanian Academy of Fine Arts and former principal dancer of the Romanian National Opera and Ballet, Royal Winnipeg Ballet, Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre, and Alberta Ballet. Read Full Biography
Core Instructor, Charmaine Hunter, a former Principal dancer with Dance Theatre of Harlem. Ms. Charmaine brings decades of experience in the Ballet Industry and brings high energy and passion to each of her classes, while inspiring students from all different paths in life. Read Full Biography

Students age 6-10 may eligible to participate in the Introductory or Primary Programs by an Academy Instructor’s approval (Request Approval Here).
Location
Our classes are held in Central Florida Ballet’s spacious 6,000 square-foot studios, featuring high-quality sprung flooring. To ensure the health and safety of our students, we've recently upgraded our facilities. All studios are equipped with PHI-Cell® QRP Guardian Air Filtering Technology, a UV-based system that neutralizes airborne pollutants, including bacteria, viruses, odors, and mold, eliminating 99% of contaminants within 6+ hours. Additionally, our restrooms feature touchless technology for faucets, toilets, and hand dryers, and touchless hand sanitizer stations are available throughout the facility.

Founded in 2000 by world-renowned dancer and director, Vasile Petrutiu, and "Orlando's ballerina" Heather Fryxell-Sanders, the Company’s mission is to entertain, educate, and inspire through the universal art form of dance.
