Audition for the Central Florida Ballet's 24th Annual Nutcracker production! Taking a hint from local theme parks, Central Florida Ballet merged the Nutcracker fairytale with a touch of Cirque and a glimmer of pyrotechnics creating an unforgettable experience. CFB's production was recognized as 'one of the top five productions in the nation' by CNN and has become known to many as the "pyrotechnic Nutcracker" thanks to it's coverage in USA Today. National coverage has also been provided by ABC News, Wall Street Journal, and the Southeast Tourism Society.
The Central Florida Ballet will be holding its annual Open Auditions on Saturday, August 16, 2025 for local Central Florida dancers. Freelance professional dancers and students (ages 5 and up) from any dance studio may audition.

AUDITION INFORMATION & TIMES
Arrive early to ensure you have enough time to be measured and receive your audition number. If on pointe, please bring your pointe shoes.
Students males and females:
Ages 5–7
Sign-In/Registration: 12:15 PM
Audition Time: 12:45 PM – 1:30 PM
Ages 8–11
Females: Not on pointe or with 1 year or less of pointe experience
Males: Intermediate experience
Sign-In/Registration: 1:00 PM
Audition Time: 1:30 PM – 2:45 PM
Ages 11 & Up
Females: Not on pointe or with less than 2 years of pointe experience
Males: Intermediate experience
Sign-In/Registration: 2:30 PM
Audition Time: 3:00 PM – 4:30 PM
Ages 14 & Up
Females: On pointe for 2 or more years and Professional Freelance Dancers
Males: Advanced experience
Sign-In/Registration: 4:15 PM
Audition Time: 4:45 PM – 6:15 PM
