An original production of historic value, “9/11 An American Moment” captures the poignancy of tested and proven American patriotism; her courage, resolve and pride in response to the World Trade Center attack on September 11, 2001. The House of Representatives in Washington, D.C. recognized the Central Florida Ballet as ”the only company in the nation to have created a ballet on this fateful day in American history”.

Our Academy classes are open to students ages 3 *must be potty trained* through their Senior year of High School or age 18. Please call the Academy Registrar, Dawn Naatjes, at 407-849-9942 ext 10 to set up a placement class.
Note: Open Adult classes (for ages 18+) are offered year-round from beginner to advanced. No registration fee is required for adult students.
The Ballet Academy of Central Florida was founded in 2000 by world-renowned dancer and director, Vasile Petrutiu, and "Orlando's ballerina" Heather Fryxell-Sanders.

Celebrating 15 years of excellence, The Ballet Academy of Central Florida prides itself on offering the "FINEST" classical ballet training in Central Florida. Our curriculum has been designed to bring out the best in every student creating a well rounded dancer. In addition to ballet classes, dancers will ALSO study jazz, modern, tap, contemporary and body conditioning. Our students have attained professional careers with prestigious companies including San Francisco Ballet, Pittsburgh Ballet Theater, Pacific Northwest Ballet, Joffrey Ballet, Colorado Ballet, State Street Ballet, Ballet MET, and Louisville Ballet. The Academy's students annually receive scholarships to coveted dance schools and companies worldwide, totaling more than 30 schools and companies to date.
We are not a competition school but do offer several performance opportunities throughout the year including our Annual Nutcracker (Audition required) and Recital, both are performed in the state of the art Linda Chapin Theater at the Orange County Convention Center. Our Studio Company performs year round at various events and performances throughout Central Florida. Advanced students have an additional option to audition for the World Ballet Competition that is held in every year in June.

World Ballet Competition USA Finals 2016.
