Formal Summer Intensive

The Central Florida Ballet Summer Intensive is a formal program offering professional ballet training in the Russian Method as well as a variety of other dance styles. The program is designed to both challenge and encourage young dance students at the intermediate and advanced level. Students are placed in ballet groups by age and ability. Depending on their level, students can expect 3 to 7 hours of dance each day (except weekends). A performance will be given at the end of the session by all students participating in the final three weeks. Admission is by Audition only.

Introductory Summer Intensive

This three week program is designed for serious ballet students between the ages of 7-10. Students will be introduced to the Central Florida Ballet’s rigorous curriculum in classes taught by members of the Academy’s permanent faculty as well as guest teachers from throughout the Central Florida area. Classes will include ballet, tap, jazz, modern, musical theater, and more! Admission is by recommendation only.

Academy Student

Led by the Central Florida Ballet's Artistic Director, Vladimir Bykov, the intensive program includes guest Instructors from all areas of the professional dance world: ballet, Broadway, and theme park entertainment.

Lunch Program

Central Florida Ballet offers a Lunch Program for all SIDP Students. Any student may purchase a lunch from the customized SIDP menu which offers a variety of healthy options each day. Lunch is delivered directly to CFB Studios. Pre-Order is required. 

Academy Students

Payment & Scholarships

For 2016 Tuition Rates click here . A non – refundable deposit is required within 2 weeks of the Acceptance Letter. No registration will be accepted without the deposit. A limited number of scholarships are awarded each summer.

Location & Housing

Central Florida Ballet is located just minutes away from Central Florida's famous attractions including Universal Studios, SeaWorld, Cirque Du Soleil, and Disney World. You can now spend your summer studying ballet in the United States' number one tourist destination and with some of the artists who make 'Magic' in our world-famous entertainment venues.

A room and board arrangement may be available with a local host family whose child also attends the Central Florida Ballet Summer Intensive.

Audition Times for Saturday, January 30, 2016:

Age 8-14 (Not on pointe)
Registration: 12:30pm, Audition: 1pm

Age 10 and Up (On pointe for 2+ years)
Registration: 2pm, Audition: 2:30pm

Audition Fee:

$25 payable to Central Florida Ballet

Studio Location:

3306 Maggie Blvd., Suite B, Orlando, FL

Video application 

 Video Requirements:

Maximum of Ten Minutes

Should include work at the barre: plié, tendu, adagio, and grand battement and in the center: adagio, pirouette, petit allegro and grand allegro.

Women: Please include pointe work only if you have had at least one year on pointe.

in-Class audition

If you are unable to attend the Orlando Audition on January 30, you may audition in an Academy class.

  Please call the Academy Registrar to arrange an audition time at 407.849.9942 ext 10. The program has reached capacity for the last three years, therefore it is advised to audition as soon as possible.

In- Class Audition fee: $35
