Art & Essay Contest - 2014 Information! PDF Print

 In an effort to continue to introduce the ARTS to students in the Central Florida Community, Central Florida Ballet is proud to present its seventh “The Nutcracker” Art and Essay Contest. 

Central Florida Ballet will be sponsoring this contest among students of Orange, Lake, Osceola and Seminole Counties in all three levels: Elementary, Middle, and High school. These students will have the opportunity to enter Christmas or Nutcracker themed essays, poems, or art pieces to be judged by a Central Florida Ballet committee. Submissions of clay, pottery, or other breakable artwork are NOT permitted.

Submission Categories:


Submission should include Student Name, Grade, School, Teacher's Email, and Teacher's Phone.

Written entries must be no more than 350 words. The winning art pieces will be displayed at the Orange County Convention center during the "Nutcracker" school performance on December 12, 2014 at 11am. The overall first place winner will receive 6 tickets to The Nutcracker; the overall second place winner will receive 4 tickets; and the overall third place winner will receive 2 tickets.

Deadlines for Entries: Monday, December 1, 2014! The drop off location is the Central Florida Ballet studios located at 3306 Maggie Blvd, Suite B, Orlando, FL, 32811. The art work pieces will be held for two weeks after the show at our studios. If they are not picked up they will be disposed by the CFB staff. Experience the holiday Nutcracker production!

Join us for the annual school performance  of The Nutcracker held Friday, December 12, 2014. This one hour, narrated performance is given for Orange, Osceola, Lake, and Seminole County students at the Orange County Convention Center. Click the pictue below for details.
