Welcome

Welcome to the official school of Central Florida Ballet.  We are happy to have you with us as we celebrate our 19th year of professional dance training in Central Florida!  We are dedicated to the highest standards of classical ballet and dance education, while inspiring students of all ages and abilities to achieve their highest potential.  CFB has achieved both a local and international reputation for training dancers of the highest caliber.  

Performing Opportunities

Enrolled students also have the unique opportunities of participating in CFB's professional Nutcracker production, and the Studio Company team whom bring the world of dance to children, the elderly and many others who wouldn't otherwise be exposed to ballet performances.

Boys Program

Boys dance free for 6 months (must be a new student). Simply sign up now to begin your complimentary dance training.

Our Alumni

Our students and graduates have received hundreds of scholarship and professional contract opportunities with renowned dance companies including: American Ballet Theatre, San Francisco Ballet, Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre, Dance Theatre of Harlem; on Broadway in Newsies, Matilda, West Side Story, and Billy Elliot; Walt Disney World, Universal Studios; The Julliard School, Butler University, School of American Ballet, and Kirov Academy in Washington, D.C.  Our students have won numerous awards and accolades at prestigious international ballet competitions including the World Ballet Competition. 

As we enter our 19th season, we are thrilled to have you as a part of our ballet family!

2018/19 LEVELS & SCHEDULE

Please note: a 10% discount is offered when tuition is paid in full for the year; a 5% discount applies if annual tuition is paid in 2 payments.


CREATIVE MOVEMENT

For potty-trained dancers age 3 - 4.  A placement class is not required.

Class profile:  Children will explore music, rhythm, and movement, while nurturing their energy, vitality, and imagination.  These first dance classes help young students to develop mental, physical, and social skills through a fun, age-appropriate dance curriculum.

Program:  45 minute class & 45 min tap class offered:

Tuesdays: 5:00 – 5:45 pm Ballet
 and/or
Saturday 10:00 – 10:45 am Ballet
Saturday 10:45 – 11:30 am Tap


PRE-BALLET

For students ages 4-5.  A placement class is not required.

Class profile:  Introduces the young dancer to simple ballet technique, terminology, and proper ballet classroom procedures, while continuing to nurture and develop the same skills/goals as introduced in Creative Movement.  Ballet barre, center work, and across the floor steps will be introduced.

Program:  45 minute class of ballet & 45 min tap class offered:

Tuesdays: 5:00 – 5:45 pm Ballet

Saturday 10:45 – 11:30 am Tap

 

PRIMARY

For students age 6 and 7 (must be entering 1st grade), a placement class is not required.

Class profile:  Students will learn fundamental concepts of classical ballet, learn ballet terminology and proper ballet technique, and will study exercises both at the barre and in the center.  Repetition will be used to increase strength, flexibility, and coordination.  Students will also gain an appreciation for ballet as an art form and will learn to express themselves through movement to classical music.  Tap is a rhythmic form of dance that is performed in special “tap shoes”.  Beats and rhythms are executed through the feet.  Students will learn to tap in an energetic and music-filled atmosphere, improving their memory, coordination, musicality, and stamina.
